What She Makes // A Mess + Goal Hit

Hey guys!

Today I am going to be doing an ‘on topic’-er post in which I show you what I normally make VS. what I recently made.

What do I normally make?

A mess. πŸ˜€ πŸ˜›

In this post you will see a before and after photo of my office/ studio/ me space. It’s still not all the way done… there’s still more clutter to go. But I have mostly cleaned it up.

One regret I have is that… I can only show you so much of it on camera. Sadly, I couldn’t get an angle showing you how much more space there is now that it’s cleaned. But what you’ll have to in your head is imagine there being more space to the right of the book shelf.

Great! Thanks, you’re the best!

My office was a wreck. Stuff everywhere.

Old candy wrappers.

Random sewing stuff {my sister’s}.

Random boy’s stuff. {it got shoved in my craft room when they couldn’t find its home} πŸ˜†

This is before…

And that’s if it was half cleaned up. You get the picture. It wasn’t pretty. πŸ˜€

Now the office is…

A little disorganized.

Less cluttered.

More spacious.

And the big table is gone.

Much better.

I still need to get rid of a lot of random little things {pile by the desk}, and also figure out how to unclutter the bookshelf better.

Right now, I can’t do much with some of that as it isn’t all mine.

In my opinion pictures don’t show it as well as in person. But as I can’t pull you through the screen, you’ll just have to trust me πŸ˜‰ .

Now for a quick tour.

When you come in, there is a grey bin with two sewing machines on it.

{I didn’t want the bin, but I wasn’t supposed to take the sewing machines out of there so oh well.}

The floor is a white-ish beige tile. Very easy to sweep and mop. Sadly, there are a few permanent stains from when the house was being ‘redone’.

Then you’ll see the desk. It’s a wooden one with some compartments. It is mostly obscured by a computer, which is new and nice πŸ˜† .

At the foot of the desk is a pile of junk, plus one cow named Jordan who isn’t junk. πŸ˜€ And my ukulele, which also isn’t junk. And Raspberry the hippo, who also isn’t junk. πŸ˜‰

Then you’ll notice that the desk is still a little too crammed. It has some odd miscellaneous things on it… which you aren’t able to tell the point of. It still needs some work.

Then to the right, there’s the bookshelf.

Now I will turn this over to Raspberry… who wants to show you something:

Why hello! I’m Raspberry, and I want to show the two moods of my owner, in one object. Won’t this be fun?!Β

The object is a hat.Β

It’s a reversible sequin hat, which is cute and adorable {like me}.Β

My human’s first mood is silly. She can be a goofball. That’s why she has the ‘cheeky’ emoji, as my human likes to call it. πŸ˜›Β

By human’s second mood is… well, I’d better just show you.

That’s right!

MY human really only has these two moods, so she was surprised that a hat could capture it so perfectly.

People are wisening up with products this year. My human and I are impressed.Β

My human would like to know if you’d like to see a post of recent things she’s bought?

She has been going shopping more than she should, and brings home knickknacksΒ all too often! {hence her normally dirty office, right? She doesn’t appreciate that comment.}Β

Well goodbye then, and farewell!Β

  1. This was a fun post, you are just like me, a writing crafter who is a bit messy and loves to clean up her desk to make it nice again! Haha! I loved Raspberrie’s part, you should do a post on the things you’ve bought, that would be neat to see. πŸ˜‰

  2. I love before and after posts! πŸ˜€ It must be lovely to have your own space. ❀ I don't yet, but I'm working on turning a walk-in closet into my art studio and I'm SO excited! Also that hat is hilarious. XD

    1. hehe. I do too! It is very nice {especially now it’s clean πŸ™‚ } I am sure your art studio will be amazing! ❀
