I am back with day two, part two of our vacation. On this particular day I was rather bored and took many random pictures–the majority of which are boring and dreadful. 😉 😀 So instead of sharing THOSE dreadful photos…I found 22 which I can narrate the day with.
I promised to post updates, didn’t I? Well, I did…and so I’m here! Just to touch base a little with y’all,–the past two months have been spent busily- and (I HOPE 🙂 ) productively. I spent them brainstorming and experimenting various product ideas. As a result, today I have pictures to share! YAY.
Note: the pictures I’m sharing are not complete projects. They are still in progress. Here’s a mini list of what I’m about to share:
An earring. (from the jewelry department)
A headband. (from the headwear department)
Yep, it’s not much. But it’s what I’ve got for now…*smile*.
There are many imperfections in the products…I know. But this is just stage two. There won’t be these imperfections in the finished products. In the headband photos my little sister had to hold the sides of the headband so it wouldn’t fall off. That’s because I haven’t actually attached the piece that holds it on the head! But…I promised updates- and I want to give y’all a taste of the process step-by-step.
And yes, in the earring photos…there is a WIRE sticking out of the top of the earring! 🙂 And NO, there will most certainly NOT be that wire in the finished product.
Sorry there isn’t more. There are more products, but they’re not quite picture worthy yet!
Thanks to my lil’ sis Ellie for sitting so patiently as I tried to figure out some of the settings on the camera.
Thanks also to my big sis Hannah, who’s graciously offered to allow me to use her camera to practice photography and take product photos. I am very grateful.
What projects are y’all working on?
Do you ever want to start a business from home?
Do y’all know of any articles I could watch to improve my product photos?
I TOLD you I would be back. And I also told you I would post Ukulele stuff. If you’re not interested, that’s okay. You don’t have to read this…you can just click the handy-dandy little ‘delete’ button. 🙂 But here I have a piece that I printed off the good ole’ internet. It’s my favorite one to play…and I’m almost ready to say I have it down. I want to actually memorize it though. Here it is:
As you can see…I snagged this leetle freebie off of 8notes.com . One thing that I have found harder is finding FREE uke music that isn’t easy peasy. I want a small challenge. I want to ACTUALLY get better. And so I am happy to have found this piece.
For any of you who play piano…the melody line at the top is for the piano. I like having that piano melody line up there. It helps me to figure out how the piece should sound on my uke. I also play piano. Not very well…and I don’t take lessons anymore. But I know enough to make it helpful for my uke practice.
p.s- I have a soprano ukulele. This piece should work for tenor, and soprano ukuleles.
Any uke players out there?
Do you know any websites with free uke music (not chords)?
I haven’t done this in a while. Shared a personal update…I’ve shared drawing updates and book reviews though 🙂 . I’m never too busy to draw or read, right? I mean…that simply isn’t possible! 🙂 *right*…
High School is keeping me busy. I am SO close to being done– except I’m not done. 😦 I am taking Geometry, The Creative Writer, Exploring Creation with Biology & Biology 101, and a big history/humanities course called Gileskirk. I have already taken Antiquity, Modernity, and American Culture. I am taking Christendom this year (just started!) which I am so far enjoying.
2. Competitions. As several of you already know…I have been involved in several competitions. I already mentioned the Tennessee Magazine Artist’s Palette…but the Putnam County Fair took more time by far. I literally prepare for that year round. I am so relieved that it’s over! *AHEM* Until next year, of course. Even now I am thinking of new crafts and projects/drawings to enter next year. I was able (Soli Deo Gloria 🙂 ) to bring in a good bit of money from that. I am very thankful for that because except birthdays…I don’t really get/make money. 😦
3. Writing, & Amateur Graphic Designing… In my free time I LOVE doing these! Oh yes. Writing is a part of me. I am so thankful that God gave me the gift of appreciating writing and reading. And in loving to write. Even if I don’t ever get published or show anyone…there’s something so right about me writing. It’s like putting my heart on paper. I know, it sounds cheesy. But I can’t really explain it any better. (click here to check out my writing blog!) Graphic designing…hmm. How did I get into that? Well…many of you are aware that I used to change blogs an awful L O T. That’s because I got bored of the design and theme of the blogs I used. So I switched to another one. But, that said–I got to practice designing headers, backgrounds, etc. That got me into quote graphics…and cover designing. My books always looked sad to me without covers. 😦 Here’s a sampling of my designing fun:
Well…I hope that was informative. What have y’all been up to?
