I just realized that it’s been exactly a week since my last post on here. 😀 I think it’s time to finish this vacation series at long last. As promised, I’ll just lump all the rest of the photos into one post. We’ll categorize it as Saturday and Sunday.
As you can see, I have spaced part five as well. I just decided I didn’t want to post every day–and while these posts would’ve been done quicker…I would rather pace them. 😀 But this is part five, which mostly just has pictures that I took of my friends and sister–and myself when I used the tripod and timer. Part 6 will have two days shoved into one because I took so few pictures on Saturday and Sunday. So I’m going to lump them together. 😉
Here I am for part four, which I’ve been eagerly waiting to show you. 😀
On 10/5, we decided to go disc golfing with our cousins—which had it successes and failures. I took a lot of cool pictures, but we all stunk at disc golf. 😉 Plus, their were some not-so-good attitudes along the way. But you know what? It was nice to just spend time with the family, and worth any of the minuses we might have experienced!
Welcome to part three of my October 2017 vacation. I am working on catching back up with school, editing, everyday tasks, etc. So I decided to pace this series just a bit more, instead of posting a new part each day.
10/4/17- Was the day decided upon to celebrate dad and Josiah’s Oct. birthdays. It’s early as dad’s birthday is the 17th, and Josiah’s is the 24th–but our grandparents won’t be there on their birthdays so…
I am back with day two, part two of our vacation. On this particular day I was rather bored and took many random pictures–the majority of which are boring and dreadful. 😉 😀 So instead of sharing THOSE dreadful photos…I found 22 which I can narrate the day with.
Welcome to Part 5! Aka, the end of this series of posts.
This one is pretty short, seeing as though it was Sunday on 11/6. And on Sunday…there are much more important things than documenting the day using photography.
“Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us fear lest any of you should seem to have failed to reach it. For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened. For we who have believed enter that rest, as he has said,
“As I swore in my wrath, ‘They shall not enter my rest,’”
although his works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he has somewhere spoken of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all his works.” And again in this passage he said,
“They shall not enter my rest.”
Since therefore it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly received the good news failed to enter because of disobedience, again he appoints a certain day, “Today,” saying through David so long afterward, in the words already quoted,
“Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.”
For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken of another day later on. So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God’s rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.”
“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.”
But that said…I did trek out early in the morning to take photos of the beautiful view across Boone Lake. This won’t be new for you if you’ve seen Lucillian Photography’s Boone Lake post.
I’ll just start off this post with a nice, relaxed photo of the room where a bunch of us stayed…
Then we picked up Uncle Adam and went to Steel Creek Park to do the ‘roosters front’ hike, which is just a nice, little 20 minute hike.
NOTE: It turns out I got a little confused. There will only be FIVE parts to this post series. There isn’t a part six! Sorry for the confusion. Part five will have the last few photos in it, and also a mini recap of our vacation week in it. There will also be a few photos from around the week that weren’t posted before. Thanks for bearing with me.
This post covers the happenings of day two (part two) which happened November the 3rd.
Then right after I took those photos, our cousins Steven, Theo, and Emmett came over. They played games with my siblings…
Later in the day I spent some time down by the lake. I enjoyed taking some photos of it…and the flowers and shells, of course.
Then apparently I went a little crazy and started taking photos of all the beautiful flowers around the property. I’m going to go easy on the pictures at this point because there’s another post on Lucillian Photography that I’m working on right now 🙂 .
It’s amazing how quickly the sun sets after the golden hour now. It didn’t take long at all, and you could literally watch the sun set…
